AVAS Exposure: Successful US Tour and Exciting New Dates Announced for Upcoming Tours to the United States and Spain

Since its inception in 2021, AVAS Consulting, in collaboration with its global partners, has successfully hosted nearly 500 delegates from Africa on transformative Agribusiness exploratory tours across Europe. These journeys have taken participants to countries including Spain, Portugal, and France, with the latest addition being an unprecedented tour to the United States of America.

From May 26th to 28th, 2025, delegates hailing from Nigeria, Ghana, Zambia, and South Africa participated in the Soybean Value Chain exploratory tour in Knoxville, Tennessee. This tour marked a significant milestone as it was AVAS's first excursion outside of Europe, aligning with the strategic guidance from our Advisory Board to expand our explorations to North and South America, as well as Asia in the upcoming year.

The Knoxville tour provided an enriching experience, allowing delegates to explore a variety of state-of-the-art agricultural facilities. Highlights included visits to advanced feed mills, a dairy farm, and a remarkable soybean demonstration farm owned by the University of Tennessee. Delegates also had the opportunity to see an array of modern farm machinery and processing plants, with a standout visit to Bunge, a leading global food commodity processor known for its innovative practices and contributions to the agricultural sector.

Over the course of three intensive days, participants engaged with best-in-class agricultural value chain projects, culminating in a productive meeting with officials from the Tennessee State Government. During this meeting, discussions centered around potential collaborations between the State and African stakeholders, with a focus on developing platforms for educational exchanges and further agricultural initiatives.

In a debrief meeting between AVAS Consulting and our US hosts, we established two exciting commitments: to organize another tour in September and to host a Symposium in Nigeria in 2026.

We are thrilled to announce the upcoming Agri. Value Chain tour to Memphis, scheduled from September 21st to 25th. Following the overwhelming interest generated from our successful Knoxville tour, delegates have already begun signing up in record numbers. This Memphis tour promises to be even larger and more immersive, featuring three full days of visits to modern farms, fisheries, dairy projects, vegetable facilities, storage and logistics operations, as well as machinery suitable for African projects. Given the strong interest in certified second-hand machinery observed during the May tour, we have included visits to machinery facilities in our itinerary.

The Memphis tour has garnered significant attention, particularly from delegates in Nigeria, and we have a limited number of spaces available. To maintain an intimate and engaging experience, we will cap participation at 20 delegates. Interested businesses and individuals are encouraged to visit our website for more details and to secure their spots: www.avasconsulting.net.

AVAS Consulting remains dedicated to fostering global partnerships and enhancing the agricultural landscape for stakeholders across Africa. We look forward to the upcoming Memphis tour and the valuable opportunities it will create for our delegates. Together, we are paving the way for sustainable growth and innovation in agribusiness.
